CSLB permits a C-10 Electrical contractor to install photovoltaic systems of any size. The electrical work must be done by certified electricians.
CSLB lists the B General Building license alongside C-10 and C-46 as able to sell and install solar. Ask who performs the electrical connection and check their license.

A B-2 may not install or extend electrical, plumbing or heating systems — only make minor alterations to existing ones to swap fixtures in place. (§7057.5) A B-2 may not take a contract involving fewer than three unrelated trades, and this is one trade. (§7057.5)
